Maths stratergy.

This week the maths strategy I have learned is:
using compensation to solve x problems

Here is an example of how to use it:
The equation is 8x9. First I’m going to do
8x10 = 80 then take away not only one, but one from each group. So 80-8= is 72 so 8x9 =72.

The equation is 7x8. First I’m going to do
7 x 10 = 70 so 70 take away not only two but two from each group. So 70 takeaway 14 is 56 so 7x8 = 56.

  1. Fantastic work Lezabelle. I liked how you showed the examples at the bottom, what a great strategy. Maybe next time try to use different strategy's to figure out the problem.
